PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic isolator capable of making compatible both suppression of residual displacement and reduction of resistance force at the beginning of a slip.SOLUTION: The seismic isolator includes: a lower attachment member 3 allowed to be attached to a lower structure and having a pair of planar inclined planes 3a, 3b opposed through a lowermost point (origin O); an upper attachment member 2 allowed to be attached to an upper structure; a slide member 4 having a sliding part composed of a pair of inclined planes on the lower part and capable of sliding on the pair of the planar inclined planes of the lower attachment member; and a pendulum mechanism interposed between the slide member and the upper attachment member and capable of promoting slide of the slide member to an upper oblique of the planar inclined planes of the lower attachment member while transmitting load of the upper structure to the slide member through the upper attachment member. The pendulum mechanism can be composed of a first link arm 6 suspended from the upper attachment member and a second link arm 7 of which one end is rotatably connected to the slide member and the other end is rotatably connected to the lower end part of the first link arm. |
