PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking caster device smoothly movable straight forward and backward without wobbling an object to be moved in the right and left directions. SOLUTION: A braking caster 10 includes a main shaft member 15 which turnably holds a holder member 18 rotatably supporting a wheel 19 and in which a turning braking member 16 is installed, a shaft member 17, a braking block 23, and a stopper member 28. The stopper member 28 and the turning braking member 16 are engaged only in a direction of the wheel 19 which moves an object to be moved 11 in the right and left directions and are setup to block the turning of the holder member 18.
