PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strand surface treatment agent coating apparatus capable of preventing, based on a simple constitution, a work efficiency loss due to the entrainment of strands with rollers, etc. and of homogeneously coating strands with a specified quantity of a surface treatment agent and entailing no quality deteriorations in a case where the strands are processed into FRP moldings, etc.SOLUTION: In the provided surface treatment agent coating apparatus 100 for coating a surface treatment agent S onto multiple running strands (yarns G), a water absorbent member 2 impregnated with the surface treatment agent S is contacted with at least some of the strands (yarns G) so as to coat the surface treatment agent S onto at least portions of surfaces of the strands (yarns G) contacted with the water absorbent member 2. The surface of the water absorbent member 2 contacted with the strands (yarns G) is formed as a curvy plane or flexed plane convex toward the strand (yarn G) side on a view along a direction perpendicularly intersecting the running direction of the strands (yarns G). |
