PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a peak of an output current thereby inhibiting malfunctions of an overcurrent protection circuit.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a low voltage power supply circuit 100; a high voltage generating circuit 150 which receives power supply from the low voltage power supply circuit 100 and applies a high voltage to an electrifier 50 which charges a photosensitive drum 41; motors 93, 97 which receive power supply from the low voltage power supply circuit 100 and rotate the photosensitive drum 41; and a controller 80 serving as a control part. The controller 80 limits a current flowing through the high voltage generating circuit 150 during starting of the motors 93, 97 thereby executing peak suppression processing for suppressing a peak of an output current Io of the low voltage power supply circuit 100. |
