PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a defect of a cutter of a conventional technology.SOLUTION: A chatter resistant end mill or a shell mill or a bar has a shank part and at least one cutting part separated into a plurality of teeth by a flute arranged between teeth. The respective teeth have at least one cutting edge, and a first angle of separating a cutting edge of a first tooth from a cutting edge of a second tooth adjacent in the clockwise direction is different from a second angle of separating the cutting edge of the first tooth from a cutting edge of a third tooth adjacent in the counterclockwise direction. The end mill is constituted so that vibration generated by an angle interval between at least a pair of adjacent teeth offsets at least a part of vibration generated by an angle interval between at least another pair of adjacent teeth in cutting operation. The sum total of the first angle and the second angle is smaller than 180°, and a third angle of separating the cutting edge of the second tooth from a cutting edge of a fourth tooth adjacent in the clockwise direction is different from the first angle and the second angle. |
