PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a scum removing technique that has no possibility of lowering heat efficiency and that is suitable for evenly and effectively boiling a large amount of ingredients.SOLUTION: A scum removing plate P is provided with a spacer means 6 for holding a space from a pot bottom. As a result, burning of boiling ingredients can be prevented by constantly holding a space from the pot bottom with the scum removing plate. Also, since a recessed groove 1 and a ridge part 2 are formed on the lower face of the scum removing plate, a flexural strength is increased, so that the scum removing plate is protected against deformation and damage even if the boiling ingredients are heavy or carelessly thrown in. In addition, the ridge part 2 on the pot bottom side is dispersively provided with a plurality of through holes h, which causes no hindrance for convection, making uniform heating and boiling, and preventing conventional uneven boiling. Particularly, scum is collected in the recessed groove 1 on the pot bottom side where convection is likely to reside, the scum is automatically removed, reducing time and labor for skimming floated scum with a ladle. |
