Preparing a cosmetic ball comprises: preparing a basic solution using a first polymer that is ready to form a structure according to an egg box model; mixing a cosmetic active agent with the basic solution; preparing a spherification bath with a component source of divalent ions; and performing the spherification of the basic solution mixed with the cosmetic active agent, where an upper mass concentration of the polymer in the basic solution is 5 g/l, and the spherification process is performed with the component of divalent ions having a mass concentration >= 0.7 g/l. An independent claim is included for a cosmetic ball prepared using a method.
