A method for configuring a cell in a radio communication system according to the present invention includes: a step of generating a virtual field based on remote radio header (RRH) information; a step of generating grids at a pre-set interval in the virtual field; a step of generating a virtual coverage map by regarding each of the grids as a virtual user terminal and determining a serving RRH for each of the virtual user terminals; a step of determining the grids positioned in an inter-RRH boundary area between the grids included in the virtual coverage map as boundary area grids; a step of configuring a cell to include sub cells in number equal to or smaller than the maximum number of sub cells allowed by the radio communication system, excluding the boundary area grids included in the same cell between the grids determined to be the boundary area grids from the boundary area grids, and selecting a sub cell grouping combination with the lowest final number of boundary area grids between all possible sub cell grouping combinations; and a step of configuring the cell by using the selected sub cell grouping combination.
