PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for mapping virtual resources to physical resources.SOLUTION: A virtual resource (e.g., a virtual resource block) is mapped to a physical resource in a selected subset of physical resources on the basis of a first mapping function, which maps contiguous virtual resources to non-contiguous physical resources in the selected subset. The physical resource in the selected subset is then mapped to an allocated physical resource (e.g., a physical resource block) among a plurality of available physical resources on the basis of a second mapping function. The first mapping function includes (i) a re-mapping function that maps an index of the virtual resource to a temporary index and (ii) a permutation function (e.g., a bit-reversed row-column interleaver) that maps the temporary index to an index of the physical resource in the selected subset. |
