A refrigerator according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a case having a cellar storing a product at a low temperature; a memory storing storage information containing a position and a kind of the product stored in the cellar; and a display part displaying the products stored in the cellar, and dividing the cellar into multiple areas to display the area where the selected product is located, if one of the products is selected. A method of operating the refrigerator according to another embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of inputting one or more product stored in the cellar; storing the position and kind of the product in the memory; displaying the product; and dividing the cellar into multiple areas in which the product is stored, to display the area, and displaying the area in which the selected product is located if one of the products is selected. |
