<p>Globally the human race communicates with thousands of languages and every day large numbers of interactions occur between individuals that require translation. Rather than limiting such interactions to those where one or both parties can understand the other parties language it would be beneficial to have such interactions automatically translated in scenarios ranging from their being separated by large geographical distances to their being co-located in the same place. Further, wherein multiple parties to the conversation speak multiple languages it would be beneficial for each party to the conversation receives the communications according to their language preference and not the preference of one particular user or translator. It would be beneficial for translation to become automatic without requiring individuals to learn another language so that discourse can occur between any two or more individuals rather than always requiring the engagement of an individual or individuals who have learnt another language.</p> |
