<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that automatically selects a manual feeding mode as a paper feeding mode to prevent printing on paper of the size not desired by a user, so as to prevent unnecessary use of the paper.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus of an embodiment includes: a paper feed cassette that feeds a cassette recording medium to an image forming unit; a document size detection unit that detects the size of a document having an image thereon formed by the image forming unit; a manual paper feeding unit that feeds a manually-fed recording medium to the image forming unit; and a control unit that sets the manual paper feeding unit as a paper feed source of the recording medium to the image forming unit, when a detection result of the document size detection unit is different from the size of the cassette recording medium.</p> |
