A portable device includes plural parametric speakers that each output a sound having directivity in an individual specific direction; an attitude detecting unit that detects an attitude of the portable device; and a selecting unit that selects, from among the plural parametric speakers, a parametric speaker that outputs a sound having directivity whose direction falls within a predetermined range of an angle relative to a predetermined direction, on the basis of information on the attitude detected by the attitude detecting unit, and causes only the selected parametric speaker to output a predetermined notification sound. |
