PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of improving frost formation determination accuracy of an outside heat exchanger, securing heating performance, and avoiding unnecessary removal of frost so as to save power.SOLUTION: A controller 32 executes a heating mode. The controller 32 determines frost formation on an outside heat exchanger 7 on the basis of coolant evaporation pressure PXO of the outside heat exchanger 7 and coolant evaporation pressure PXObase of the outside heat exchanger 7 when no frost is formed, or on the basis of coolant evaporation temperature TXO of the outside heat exchanger 7 and coolant evaporation temperature TXObase of the outside heat exchanger 7 when no frost is formed, and executes removal of frost of the outside heat exchanger 7 by flowing high temperature coolant gas into the outside heat exchanger 7. |
