PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic examination method for making the acceleration of an auto-focusing operation and the accuracy maintenance of AE compatible when an automatic focus is repeated for the eyes of the same person to be examined.SOLUTION: An ophthalmic examination method comprises: a first control step of driving focusing means on the basis of the index image which has been obtained by projecting an eye to be tested, while the quantity of a light for illuminating the eye to be tested being a first one; a second control step of driving the focusing means on the basis of the index image which has been obtained while the light quantity being at a second quantity more than the first quantity; and a storage step of storing the intrinsic information of the tested eye for the time period between the first control step and the second control step. When the intrinsic information is stored again after once stored, the second control step is performed after the focusing means was driven to the position which has been stored at the storage step. |
