PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exchange device with increased user friendliness.SOLUTION: An exchange device 1 includes: a drawer 18 that can be opened/closed and stores wrapped coins by denominations; an input/output unit 14 from which a banknote to be exchanged for wrapped coins is input; a storage unit 27 that stores data on the stock quantities of wrapped coins stored in the drawer 18 by denominations; and a control unit 42. Information on wrapped coins for which the banknote is to be exchanged is input into the control unit 42. The control unit 42 compares the quantity of wrapped coins intended to be exchanged that has been input and the stock quantity of wrapped coins stored in the storage 27, and allows the drawer 18 to open up only when the stock quantity is equal to or more than the exchange intended quantity. |
