An underwater target identification device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a first sensor and a second sensor; feature extraction units which extract first and second feature vectors by using first and second sonar signals, respectively received from the sensors; a canonical correlation analysis unit which extracts a canonical correlation coefficient by canonical correlation analysis using the feature vectors; and a recognizer which recognizes an underwater target by using the canonical correlation coefficient.
