<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program update device capable of eliminating a burden for a user related to transition of user information and smoothly using the user information in an updated program.SOLUTION: A program update device comprises user information read means 403 for reading user information corresponding to an old format of an old program when updating the old program to a new program, determination means 404 for determining whether or not the old format of the read user information corresponds to a new format of the new program, and conversion means 405 for converting the format of the user information from the old format to the new format when the old format of the user information does not correspond to the new format of the new program.</p> |
