The present invention relates to an apparatus for aligning bill which aligns bill inserted into a return path on the center line of the return path. The apparatus for aligning bill includes: a first direction roller including a first rotation axis which supplies torque for moving the bill in a longitudinal direction of the return path and a first driven wheel which rotates in a width direction of the return path; a second direction roller including a second rotation axis which supplies torque for moving the bill in a width direction of the return path and a second driven wheel which rotates in a longitudinal direction of the return path; a bill location sensor which senses the location of the bill moving the return path and supplies the location information of the bill; and a controller which controls the operation of the first direction roller and the second direction roller according to the location information of the bill to align the bill on the center line of the return path.
