PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of effectively heating a heating object.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device comprises: an oxidation catalyst 4 arranged inside an exhaust pipe 9 and made of a honeycomb base material 10 carrying a catalyst substance; and a chemical heat storage unit for heating the oxidation catalyst 4. The chemical heat storage unit has: a ring-like reactor 12 arranged around the oxidation catalyst 4 across the exhaust pipe 9, and including a heat storage material 17 chemically reacting with NHand generating heat; and a storage connected to the reactor 12 via a medium supply passage 13 and adsorbing and storing NH. A contact portion of the exhaust pipe 9 and the heat storage material 17 is formed into an uneven shape. More concretely, plural protrusion parts 9a project on an outer periphery of the exhaust pipe 9 in a longitudinal direction and a circumferential direction of the oxidation catalyst 4. Then, the heat storage material 17 enters between the respective protrusion parts 9a. |
