and a safener of formula II as defined in the specification.

A) a benzoxazinone of the formula I whereinR1 is hydrogen or halogen;R2 is halogen;R3 is halogen;R4 is hydrogen, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-haloalkyl, C3-C6-cycloalkyl, C3-C6-alkenyl, C3-C6-haloalkenyl, C3-C6-alkynyl, C3-C6-haloalkynyl, C1-C6-alkoxy or C3-C6-cycloalkyl-C1-C6-alkyl;R5 is hydrogen, NH2, C1-C6-alkyl or C3-C6-alkynyl;R6 is hydrogen or C1-C6-alkyl; andW is O or S; andZ is O or S; and B) a safener of formula II whereinn is 1 to 5;R7 is hydrogen, halogen, CN, NO2, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-haloalkyl, OH, C1-C6-alkoxy, C1-C6-haloalkoxy, NH2, carboxyl, carbamoyl, formyl or sulfamoyl;R8 is hydrogen or C1-C6-alkyl;R9 is hydrogen, halogen, CN, NO2, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-haloalkyl, OH, C1-C6-alkoxy, C1-C6-haloalkoxy, NH2, carboxyl, carbamoyl, formyl or sulfamoyl;R10 is hydrogen or C1-C6-alkyl; andR11 is hydrogen, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-haloalkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy-C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy, C1-C6-alkylthio, C1-C6-alkylamino, di(C1-C6-alkyl)amino, C3-C6-cycloalkylamino or C3-C6-cycloalkyl.
