This endoscope system (1) is equipped with: an endoscope (10) having a flexible channel (14) through which an insertion section (11) can be passed; a treatment tool (20) that is inserted through the insertion opening (14A) of the operation section (12) of the endoscope (10) and passes through the channel (14); and a power source (30) that outputs high-frequency power. The endoscope (10) has a transmission unit (19) that includes a first transmission electrode (18A) and a second transmission electrode (18B) and that generates an alternating electric field imposed on the channel (14) by means of the high-frequency power. The treatment tool (20) has a reception unit (29) that includes a first reception electrode (28A) capacitively coupled to the first transmission electrode (18A) and a second reception electrode (28B) capacitively coupled to the second transmission electrode (18B), configures a resonance circuit having the same resonance frequency and high-frequency power frequency as the transmission unit (19), and receives the alternating electric field. |
