The method to enroll a certificate to a device (C) comprises the steps of providing a management application on a management device, the management application discovering a device that needs certificate enrollment (11), wherein the discovery information includes a public key of the device. The management application forwards the public key of the device to a certificate enrollment server (13), and the device requests a certificate enrollment at the certificate enrollment server by including the public key of the device a the certificate request for a secure certificate enrollment to the device (15).
