CELLULOSE ACETATE FILM, POLARIZING PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acetate film which has a low moisture content and hardly causes display irregularity in a frontal view direction by dewing when the film is assembled in a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: The cellulose acetate film comprises cellulose acetate having a total substitution degree of 2.75 to 2.95 and a compound expressed by general formula (1) shown below by 10 to 30 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the above cellulose acetate. The film shows a moisture content change of 0.8 mass% or less measured by Karl-Fischer method at 25°C and 80% relative humidity before and after being immersed in pure water at 40°C for 16 hours, and has a Re(590) satisfying 30 nm≤Re(590)≤80 nm and Rth(590) satisfying 100 nm≤Rth(590)≤160 nm.
