PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute processing for omitting drawing processing of a part covered by a different image element at higher speed than a method for specifying a part of each image element, covered by a subsequent element and drawing the range other than the specified part.SOLUTION: An intermediate data optimization section 36 has an optimization processing section 364 and a spool 366. When receiving intermediate data of a new object, the optimization processing section 364 deletes an object completely covered by the new object from among respective objects stored in the spool 366, the object having drawing orders precede the new object. The optimization processing section 364 then changes shape data of an object partially covered by the new object to data representing a shape not including the covered part, and stores the new object in the spool 366. When finishing processing for an object group included in an output unit, for example a page unit, the optimization processing section 364 outputs data of the object group within the spool 366. |
