PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a triazolopyridine compound having prolyl hydroxylase inhibitory action and erythlopoietin production-inducing potency.SOLUTION: The present invention is related to a compound represented by the following general formula [I] (each symbol in the formula is defined as in the specification), its pharmaceutically acceptable salt or its solvate, and a prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor and an erythlopoietin production inducer containing the compound. The compound of the present invention exhibits prolyl hydroxylase inhibitory action and erythlopoietin production inducing potency, and is useful as a preventive or therapeutic agent of various kinds of diseases and disease states (disorders) caused by reduction of erythlopoietin production.
