1. A colorimetric assay to detect a piperazine, indoline, indole, azabicyclo, morphinan, or amine containing compound, comprising:
providing a test sample suspected of having a piperazine, an indoline, an indole, azabicyclo, morphinan, or an amine containing compound, and a composition comprising reagents including a buffer, an organic solvent and a sulfonic acid, sultone or oxothian-2,2,dioxide containing dye; contacting the sample and the composition so as to provide a mixture; and detecting whether the mixture has a different color than a control mixture that lacks the test sample. |
