A subframe mounted to a vehicle body is configured in such a manner that, in a first region (R1) expanding toward the left in the width direction, a first hole (12, 12', 12'') is provided in an upper member (20) and/or a lower member (60) and in such a manner that, in a second region (R2) expanding toward the right in the width direction, a second hole (14, 14', 14'') is provided in the upper member (20) and/or the lower member (60). As a result of this simple configuration, the strength and rigidity which are required for the subframe (1, 1', 1'') are ensured and the weight of the subframe (1, 1', 1'') is reduced.
