Provided is an illumination device (100) provided with: a light-emission unit (1) having an emission end (1a) from which illumination light is emitted; an optical member (2) which is disposed along a circle having a prescribed axis at the centre thereof, and which emits, from a surface thereof, the illumination light that has entered from the emission end (1a); and a reflective layer (3) which is provided abutting a surface of the optical member (2) at an inner side in a radial direction, and which reflects the illumination light outward in the radial direction. The optical member (2) has, provided therein in the given order from one end side thereof in a direction along the prescribed axis, a light guide layer (4) which guides the illumination light that has entered from the emission end (1a) in the direction of the prescribed axis, and a diffusion layer (5) which guides and diffuses the illumination light that has entered from the light guide layer (4). |
