The present invention pertains to a cap assembly which covers the opening of a bottle and a method for capping the bottle with the cap assembly, the cap assembly being easily attachable to the bottle and provided with a function which makes it possible to open the inner stopper by operating only the cap when initially removing the cap. A bottle (60) is capped while a cap assembly having an inner stopper (40) and a cap (50) which have a male screw (411c) and a female screw thread (541), respectively, has the inner stopper (40) and the cap (50) assembled with one another. When initially removing the cap (50), the inner stopper (40) is opened by first breaking a joining section (52) by turning the cap (50) in the closing direction thereof, and thereafter, removing the cap (50) and the lid (42) of the inner stopper (40) by turning the cap (50) in the opening direction. |
