The invention relates to a building (1) having an earthquake-damping system. The earthquake-damping system comprises a foundation (2) and a base plate (3). A plain bearing (4) is formed between the foundation (2) and the base plate (3), so that the base plate (3) is movably arranged on the foundation (2). The plain bearing (4) extends, by means of the entire area thereof, over at least approximately the entire surface that the base plate (3) has on the side facing the foundation (2). The foundation (2) has a collar and has such a size that a gap (8) is formed between the base plate (3) and the collar over the entire circumference of the base plate (3). At least one elastic damping element (9) is arranged in said gap (8). |
