PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a streaming data downloading method and a computer readable recording medium which allow for marked reduction in waiting time until reproduction of a video image, and smooth reproduction of the whole video image, thereby coping with user's need always promptly.SOLUTION: In a streaming data downloading method which is adaptive to a video reproduction apparatus downloading a video file from a video server via a network, the video reproduction apparatus divides the video file to be downloaded and reproduced into a plurality of time segments, and sends a plurality of downloading requests to a video server, to simultaneously download data of different segments in the video file. Thereby, data of the video file can be promptly acquired. |
