摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional rotary type electromagnetic generator that the consumption of kinetic energy for rotating a rotor increases because cogging torque occurs during power generation, causing power generation efficiency to drop when the amount of power generation per energy needed for power generation is taken into account, which results in that, for a disaster-time compact power generator using an electromagnetic generator having poor power generation efficiency, for example, a child, a woman, or the aged would have difficulty operating the power generator for a prescribed period of time.SOLUTION: A power generation unit according to the present invention is composed by using, as a rotor 3, a permanent magnet holder 31 in which the magnetic poles of permanent magnets 4, 4, etc., are arranged so as to repel each other in same polarity, and using, as a stator, an electromagnetic conversion element 6 to which winding is applied. The electromagnetic conversion element 6 is configured so that magnetic cores 61, 62 having substantially the shape of the letter U form an independent magnetic circuit of substantially closed magnetic circuit type. The electromagnetic conversion element 6 is separated from the permanent magnets 4, in proportion to an increase in the amount of power generated by a power generation coil, to reduce the cogging torque, thereby reducing the turning force needed for power generation.
