摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid damage to a battery due to an excessive inrush current by preventing the excessive inrush current which may flow due to a voltage difference between respective batteries when connecting the batteries having mutually different voltages in parallel.SOLUTION: When a battery to be turned on hereafter has a voltage difference from an already turned-on battery in a battery power supply apparatus capable of connecting a plurality of batteries in parallel through mechanical contact switches respectively attached to the plurality of batteries, a bidirectional step-down chopper circuit is connected between terminals of the mechanical contact switch attached to the battery to be turned on hereafter, a voltage difference between the batteries is reduced by allowing a smooth current adjusted by conduction ratio control of the chopper circuit to flow from the high-voltage battery side to the low-voltage battery side, and when there is not voltage difference, the mechanical contact switch attached to the battery to be turned on hereafter is turned on.
