摘要 <p>A train control system using smart signals according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a camera module for photographing an image of a forward view of a train; a control unit for determining the existence of a foreign object in front of the train by analyzing the image photographed by the camera module, and calculating a distance from the foreign object in real time, and determining whether to stop the train according to the calculated distance; and a warning unit for sending a warning when the control unit determines that the train needs to be stopped. The control unit identifies the shape of rails and railway sleepers on which a train runs, and determines the disconnected shape of rails or an irregular pattern of railway sleepers as foreign objects. As a result, by photographing a forward view of a train and analyzing the photographed image, atypical patterns of rails or railway sleepers in front of the train, such as the disconnected shape of rails or the pattern of railway sleepers installed on continuously extended rails which is out of the perpendicular are determined as foreign objects. Moreover, by calculating a distance between a foreign object and a train, the current speed of the train and the distance can be compared and a warning can be sent, thereby preventing train accidents.</p>
