PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately transmit vibration to a panel surface even with a small force or variation, and to achieve a haptic function or speaker (receiver) function without increasing thickness.SOLUTION: A surface of a smart phone 10 is covered with a transparent protective panel 22 supported by an edge portion 16 of a casing 12, and a display device 18 and a touch panel 20 are disposed in a storage part 14 of the casing 12. The protective panel 22 is constituted by bonding a glass substrate 22A and a resin substrate 22B, and recesses 30A and 30B are formed on a bonding surface side of the glass substrate 22B, and a piezoelectric vibration element 40 is disposed inside the recesses and bonded with the glass substrate 22A. When the piezoelectric vibration element 40 vibrates, the vibration is transmitted to the surface of the protective panel 22 as a surface acoustic wave. Thus, the vibration device can develop a haptic function. In this case, the elasticity modulus of the resin substrate 22B is lower than that of the glass substrate 22A such that vibration in an audible region is generated in the glass substrate 22A. Thus, the vibration device can act as a speaker (or receiver). |
