[Problem] To provide a production method for a glass film and peeling method for a glass film, whereby it is possible to peel a glass film from a support glass within a short time and without breakage. [Solution] In this production method for glass film, using a wedge (4) and a support part (32) which serves as a glass film peeling means (40) constituting means for peeling a glass film (11) from a support glass (12), at one side of a glass film laminate (1), there is formed a peel-initiating edge (11c) which is a section, situated at the one side, at which to peel the glass film (11) in generally rectangular shape along the entire length of the side. Then, using a retaining part (33) which serves as a glass film restraining means (41) constituting means for restraining the peel-initiating edge (11c), sections of the glass film (11) other than the peel-initiating edge (11c) are peeled from the support glass (12), while restraining the peel-initiating edge (11c) using the wedge (4) and the support part (32). |
