The purpose of the present invention is to appropriately synchronize even if different cells in an asynchronous network are synchronized by means of a wireless interface. A wireless base station for carrying out wireless synchronization by using the downlink signal transmitted from the wireless base station of another cell, this wireless base station having: a synchronization information control unit for sending a synchronization information request to the wireless base stations of other cells via an inter-base station interface, and for acquiring the synchronization information sent from the wireless base stations of the other cells; and a determination unit for determining, on the basis of the acquired synchronization information, the wireless base station with which wireless synchronization is to be carried out. The synchronization information control unit includes information showing the synchronization state, synchronization hierarchy level, and synchronization group of the wireless base stations of the other cells into the synchronization information acquired from the wireless base stations of the other cells.
