A fluid delivery device 1 for discharging fluid comprises a housing, a piston pump 20, 21, 22 operable to discharge fluid, a biasing mechanism 5 which operates on the piston pump, and a manually operable button trigger 300 comprising a shroud 410 and a slidable button 400 which, in a cocked position, projects outside the shroud and is retained within the shroud in a triggered position. The biasing mechanism comprises flexible catch members 103 and can be cocked so that the flexible catches / hooks engage the housing (see flange 95), and the button trigger comprises an obstructer to prevent decoupling of the catch members. When the trigger button is pushed in, it releases the catch members allowing the biasing mechanism to act on the piston pump. Preferably the device is a single-use single-dose nasal spray. |
