<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress friction between contact points of storage medium provided on a part attached to an image forming apparatus and terminals contacting with the contact points. <P>SOLUTION: A process cartridge is provided with a holding member 106 on a side 101 of the process cartridge for holding a storage medium 17. The holding member 106 is formed as a separate body from the process cartridge, and is attached to the side 101 of the process cartridge. The holding member 106 has a partition wall formed in between a first insertion groove and a second insertion groove in its deep side inside the holding member 106.
