For allowing a very efficient service marking a method for operating a network, especially a mobile network, is claimed, wherein an ADC, which is co-located in a PCEF or separate in a TDF, detects data flows for reporting data flow-specific information to a control-plane node according to service-specific information received from said control-plane node. The method is characterized in that said service-specific information is provided to the ADC on a service context basis, and the ADC reports the data flow-specific information in the form of a service detection result to the control-plane node according to the service-specific information on a service context basis after having detected a new data flow and checked or identified to what service the new data flow belongs. Further, an according network is claimed, preferably for carrying out the above mentioned method. |
