摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# The plug has a ceramic heating element (110) that is in form of a preheating pin (112), and a temperature sensor (124) that is in form of a thermo-element (126). The temperature sensor is housed partially in an undercut portion (120) of the heating element. The temperature sensor and the heating element are connected by a bonding material. A filling material (130) having a ceramic component is filled in the undercut portion of the heating element, where the filling material is composed of a part of silicon nitride. #CMT# : #/CMT# The heating element is partly made of silicon nitride. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabrication of a glow plug. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Glow plug i.e. sheathed-element glow plug, for cold-starting an internal combustion engine i.e. diesel engine, in a vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The design of the glow plug permits to fabricate the glow plug as same as temperature measuring plug, thus permitting to capture the temperature of the plug for laboratory testing and vehicle applications in an effective manner. The long-term testing process in the vehicle permits to diagnose the glow plugs and/or to improve control of the engine using the temperature provided by the glow plug in the startup phase of the diesel engine, thus reducing emission of pollutants from the engine.
