<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion testing method using laboratorial reproduction of corrosive environments in cargo holds of coal carrying ships and combined coal/ore carrying ships. <P>SOLUTION: By a corrosion testing method for anticorrosive steel for cargo holds of coal carrying ships and combined coal/ore carrying ships, coal is placed on a steel surface and held at a first temperature in a constant high-humidity environment; after that, a cycle of continuously reducing the temperature to a second temperature, lower than the first temperature, holding the temperature at the second temperature, and then continuously raising the temperature from the second temperature to the first temperature is repetitively accomplished to cause dew condensation to occur on the steel surface, whose anticorrosive performance is assessed in that environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
