PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is important to convert the energy consumed for excitation of surface plasmon polariton into visible light by horizontalizing the orientation of organic molecules in order to enhance the efficiency of an organic light-emitting device, but the manufacturing process is complex and the deposition rate is low in the conventional orientation control method.
SOLUTION: The organic light-emitting element has an upper electrode, a lower electrode, and a luminous layer interposed between the upper electrode and the lower electrode. The luminous layer contains a host and a first dopant, and the first dopant contains a functional group. Concentration of the first dopant in any one of a region on the side where the upper electrode exists or a region on the side where the lower electrode exists in the luminous layer is higher than that in the other region. The horizontal component of the average value of transition dipole moment for a substrate surface is larger than the vertical component thereof, for the first dopant.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
|
