Disclosed is a partially ethylenically-functionalized polysiloxane, which is a mixture of reaction products obtained by reacting an ethylenically functionalising vinylic monomer having a first reactive functional group (such as isocyanatoethyl methacrylate (IEM)) with a linear functional polysiloxane compound having two terminal second reactive functional groups (such as those derived from (alpha,omega-bis(2-hydroxyethoxypropyl)-polydimethylsiloxane), wherein the molar equivalent ratio of the first reactive functional group to the second reactive functional groups, R[Equivalent] is from about 40% to about 97%, wherein each first reactive functional group reacts with one second reactive functional group in the presence or absence of a coupling agent to form a covalent bond or linkage, wherein the first and second reactive functional groups are selected from the group consisting of amino group, hydroxyl group, carboxylic acid group, acid halide groups, acid anhydrate group, azlactone group, isocyanate group, epoxy group, and aziridine group. |
