A canister-type thruster is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the canister-type thruster comprises: a canister lifting in a trunk of a hull or a floatable structure; a lifting device having a rack gear installed on one among the outer surface of the canister and the trunk in parallel with a lifting direction, and pinion gears installed on the other one among the outer surface of the canister and the trunk and engaged with the rack gear; a guide device for guiding the lifting of the canister; and a foreign matter cover device arranged in the end of the rack gear to prevent foreign matters from being introduced into a space between the guide device and the rack gear. |
