PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate resin excellent in light resistance, transparency, hue, heat resistance, heat stability and mechanical strength.SOLUTION: A polycarbonate resin comprises at least a structural unit derived from a dihydroxy compound having a moiety represented by the general formula (1) in a part of the structure. A molding (having a thickness of 3 mm) which is molded from the polycarbonate resin has a light transmittance of 60% or more at a wavelength of 350 nm. (The case where the moiety represented by the general formula (1) is part of -CH-O-H is excepted.) |
