PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conditioner having a function for detecting failure of a switch provided in a rush current prevention circuit for a capacitor on an output side of an inverter.SOLUTION: A power conditioner includes an inverter 2 converting DC power generated in a power generating unit 10 into AC power capable of interconnecting a power system 11, and a parallel circuit of a switch 7 and a resistor 8 as a rush-current prevention circuit 6 for a capacitor 5 on an output side of the inverter 2. A control unit 3 stops the inverter 2, short-circuits a relay contact 9 for system interconnection, and controls switching between a short-circuit state and an open state of a contact of the switch 7, and compares values of output currents of the power conditioner before and after the switching. When the current values are matched, the control unit 3 determines that the switch 7 is broken down. |
