<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording and reproduction device for improving the recording capacity efficiency of a hologram recording medium.SOLUTION: The information recording and reproduction device for recording data in an information recording medium and reproducing the data from the information recording medium includes a drive unit for executing data recording to the information recording medium, and a control unit for managing the position and size of a recording area of the information recording medium, and controlling recording and reproduction of the drive unit. The control unit divides record source data into a first recording unit, extracts the divided record source data, groups the record source data in a second recording unit, transmits the data in the grouped second recording unit to the drive unit, makes a recording instruction, groups management information of the position and size of the recording area in a third recording unit different from the second recording unit, transmits the data in the grouped third recording unit, and makes a recording instruction.</p> |
