<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-security cash paying apparatus whose key is difficult to duplicate.SOLUTION: A cash paying apparatus comprises a storage for storing coins, a body housing the storage, a tray for receiving paid-out coins, a tray sensor provided on the tray, a locking unit for regulating exposure of the storage from the body, and a controller that unlocks the locking unit when a keying body to permit unlocking is determined to have been placed in the tray on the basis of an output from the tray sensor. The apparatus may be further equipped with a discharge tray for receiving unacceptable coins discharged by a discharger and a discharge tray sensor provided on the discharge tray, and in this case the controller may be configured to unlock the locking unit when the key body is determined to have been placed either in the tray or the discharge tray on the basis of an output from the tray sensor or from the discharge tray sensor.</p> |
